But criminals are citizens, too, and if you cut off one access point, it ought to help.Nickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10736204532231600862noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4144268541476399390.post-56680715736433695412009-02-02T20:53:00.000+00:002009-02-02T20:53:00.000+00:00I'm for handguns, but I grew up around guns. If someone wants one, they should have to deserve the right to own one.

On the other hand, I'm not against banning handguns, to a certain extent.

The main problem is, they are doing everything they can to take away guns from citizens, but not much is being done to get them away from the criminals.Ron Rollinshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16852012772573977515noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4144268541476399390.post-85373642453162441252009-02-02T20:49:00.000+00:002009-02-02T20:49:00.000+00:00I'm not a big fan of the right to own guns. But I...I'm not a big fan of the right to own guns. But I'm willing to compromise a little. I like the idea of allowing rifles or hunting-style guns, as there is a practical use for those, especially in rural areas. But I think handguns ought to be banned. The only reason people own handguns are to shoot targets or to shoot people. I just don't see the point. The chances of someone being able to protect themselves with a handgun are slim, especially when coupled with the increased risk of danger of accidents to themselves or children. Interesting debate topic...Nickhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10736204532231600862noreply@blogger.com
